IQAS standards
Our standards
IQAS accreditation standards have been put together in collaboration with the allergy community, including our valued patient groups, and are reviewed every 5 years to ensure they remain appropriate, relevant and reflect national guidance. The latest version of IQAS standards launched in October 2025.
Our standards cover all aspects of a high-quality adult allergy service in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and are organised into six domains:
- Leadership, strategy, and management
- Systems to support service delivery
- Person-centred treatment and/or care
- Risk and patient safety
- Clinical effectiveness
- Workforce
Allergy services demonstrate they are meeting the standards by uploading evidence onto an online platform followed by an on-site assessment. For example, to demonstrate effective patient experience, the evidence requirements will include a policy, survey responses, and actions taken as a result of the feedback.
The full set of standards and evidence guidance is available to registered services only. However, below is a publicly available version which gives an overview of the domains.
